Bericap sees lightweight closure growth
It said it sells more than 1 billion closures for the PET 26/21 bottle neck every year.
The PET 26/21 bottle neck allowed a weight saving of as much as 1.37g compared with the PET 29/21 which had been dominant on the market, said the firm.
29/21 and 26/21 refer to the dimension of the PET neck finish.
It offers closure variants for the PET 26/21 bottle neck, from a one-part closure, the two-part version to hinged closure variants.
Bericap has 22 factories in 19 countries, four central R&D centres in France, Germany, Spain and Turkey, a mould shop in Hungary.
The firm recently introduced CTC IP 29/19 and CTC IP 29/20 flip top press-on closures for the edible oil market, developed and produced by Bericap Spain.
The 2-piece closure is available in two different colours and has a tamper evidence band designed for left and right-hand opening.
