McDonald's cuts fat but ignores antibiotics

McDonald's has today introduced reduced-fat French fries in its US restaurants. However, the company remains behind the curve on another public health issue - the spread of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Sabate Diosos announces half yearly results

French cork and barrel maker Sabate Diosos has said that poor first half results have been impacted by bad weather, surplus production capacity and a slowdown in orders.

First Russian Frito factory opens

Snackmaker Frito-Lay, a unit of PepsiCo, said it will officially open its first Russian snacks factory, to make potato and corn chips, in Kashira, around 100 km south of Moscow, tomorrow.
