PepsiCo Foods Canada has teamed up with Colonel Harland David Sanders’ brainchild to launched Ruffles KFS Original Recipe Chicken-flavoured potato chips, while Google Japan is hyping the upcoming launch of Pixel 7 and 7 Pro with four potato chip releases, along with an exclusive giveaway.

PepsiCo Foods Canada has partnered with KFC Canada to add the latter’s iconic herb and spice mix to a limited run of Ruffles.

“KFC’s secret recipe is one of the best kept secrets out there, but we couldn’t turn down the opportunity to make the ultimate ‘Finger Lickin’ Good’ chip with such a powerhouse brand,” said Katherine Bond-Debicki, CMO of KFC Canada.

Added PepsiCo senior marketing director Lisa Allie, “Ruffles and KFC have a lot in common – we both have a legacy of innovative products that pack a big, satisfying crunch and mouth-watering taste. Ruffles KFC Original Recipe Chicken chips give Canadians a unique and adventurous flavour and crunch experience.”

The limited edition potato chips are available from major retailers across Canada.

Days after Apple introduced its all-new iPhone 14, Google Japan is hyping up the launch of its next-gen flagship Pixel device with four potato chip variants.

The four flavours highlight this generation’s colour and flavour options, namely Snow Cheese and Obsidian Pepper – offered across both phone sizes – along with Pixel 7 Pro’s Hazel Onion and Pixel 7’s Salty Lemon.

The move follows a similar campaign last year to launch the Pixel 6 with Googley Salty  potato chips.

Google said the chips are meant for sharing with friends and family, but should also be treated as a collector’s item – packaged in boxes, not bags, featuring the Pixel 7’s new design for the camera bar with a pill and circle. Unfortunately, only residents of Japan will be able to get their hands on these prized items, but the brand is making it easier for 2,000 lucky fans to do so with a lottery open until 23 September.
