A UK man is hawking a purportedly ‘extremely rare’ single folded chip online for a staggering £2,000.

The resident from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, has listed the Sour Cream and Onion Pringle on eBay, claiming it is ‘brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged’. He’s also banking on the fact it has a complete fold on the top edge that lines up perfectly with the rest of the crisp.

To entice interest, the seller says he is open to a ‘high purchase agreement’, allowing the buyer to pay £95 a month over two years.

Mr High Wycombe is not the only optimist punting the curious folded oddity.

A Redditch resident is offering two folded Sour Cream and Onion crisps for £50, while in Manchester, a single Honey Glazed Ham Pringle – albeit ‘with a slight crack but holding together strongly' – is going for £65.

While these crisps will no doubt be a conversation starter for any occasion, going the pricey route is not the only option available. We recommend you simply purchase a £1.65 pack of Pringles to find your own folded crisp.
