Turnkey equipment manufacturers CPM Wolverine Proctor has acquired UK specialist engineer Planet Dryers Ltd., best known for its triple-pass dryer that has set the industry standard for the snacks market.

Founded in 2007, the Petersborough-headquartered company manufacturers industrial dryers, roasters, coolers and related equipment for the snack foods and ready-to-eat breakfast sectors.

Planet Dryers will join Wolverine Proctor and TSA Griddle Systems as part of the CPM Thermal Group, but will retain its own identify and workforce.

Business as usual

The company confirmed that business will run as usual, and Planet Dryers’ customers will see no change in the level of service they receive.

CPM Thermal Group is a division of Minnesota-based CPM Holdings, a leading supplier of process equipment and systems serving commodity and value-adding producers around the world.

CPM Wolverine Proctor over a 200 year-history of breaking the mould with its engineering design capabilities in thermal processing and turnkey capability in cereal production and snack processing lines. The company invented the JetTube air handling technology that’s now a staple of in many food and fibre products.
