Built Brands is celebrating its second anniversary with a brand refresh and an acceleration of manufacturing capabilities to bring new offerings to market.

The US startup has also opened the doors of a new 185,000 square foot production facility in Utah, complete with a handmade front desk that resembles flowing chocolate, basketball court, indoor soccer field and pickleball court, designed to foster creativity by fuelling an active lifestyle.

The facility also houses Built Bar’s proprietary equipment and ups production capacity by almost nine times. Standard output is around 1.2 million bars daily, but it has an on-demand capacity to produce up to 2.8 million bars per day.

According to the American Fork-based company, the new capabilities strike a balance between maintaining the ‘handcrafted’ production of its original bar and greater efficiency through modern automation.

More protein, more offerings

Built has also pumped more protein into its protein bars – from 15g to 17g – but maintained a steady macro count with only 4g of sugar and starting at just 130 calories per bar.

The new formulation sees the return of familiar flavours, along with new ones, including Apple Almond Crisp, Carrot Cake, Cookies ‘N Cream and Caramel Brownie.

The snack producer has not stopped there, updating the look and feel of its drinks supplement, Built Boost, and launching BuiltGO, a protein and energy supplement derived from natural sources, like  honey, caffeine, B3, B6, B12 and collagen protein.

BuiltGO comes in three variants – Mint Chocolate, Peanut Butter Honey and Coconut – is available online and in select retailers across the US and Canada.

Fuelling an active and healthy lifestyle

“We take pride in the balance of health and taste across our product portfolio. Every day feels like a cheat day, but it’s not. From day one, we’ve wanted customers to enjoy the experience of eating something healthy,” said Nick Greer, cofounder of Built Brands.

“We’re now able to fulfil that mission at a higher level, and we are excited to continue sharing the benefits and taste of Built Bar, including our range of new and diverse product offerings, with customers around the world. We are transforming the way you ‘fuel’ your active and healthy lifestyle. Let’s go!”
