Nestlé has developed a breakfast-inspired perfume for its Lion Cereals customers in France.
Presenting notes of caramel and chocolate, the perfume is the result of ‘months of development’ by a talented perfume maker, according to the food giant. When worn, her creation is designed to evoke the ‘irresistible’ smell of breakfast with Lion Cereals.
The perfume launch is accompanied by a spoof perfume advertisement that plays on the conventional marketing style of male perfumes. The 15-second film was created by London-based agency Mother.
Nestlé said it is always looking for new ways to entertain and make an impression on its young adult audiences.
“What better way to [show this] than by bottling the most beautiful olfactory notes of their favourite breakfast with Lion Cereals, in a campaign with a deliberately offbeat and humorous tone,” noted senior brand manager at Nestlé Cereals Mark Sanchez.
“With a spray of Eau de Lion, Lion Cereals fans can now adopt the Lion style as soon as they wake up! Our fans should roar with pleasure at the discovery of this unique fragrance.”
The company has produced a limited edition run of 300 bottles, which can be won online.
