This year’s show is the largest ever with over 175 exhibitors showcasing innovative technologies, products and services from the raw materials and ingredients, flavors, snack processing equipment and packaging machinery sectors.
The show will also feature the Knowledge Showfloor sessions that have been handpicked to arm attendees with valuable take home information to improve their businesses.
The conference – being held alongside the exhibition and workshops – delves into the ‘snackification’ trend that is currently the big buzzword.
According to Emig, the savory snacks sector has reach a crossroad in terms of this trend and snack makers are the catalysts that can make it flourish.
“We have speakers from various sectors that will explore the trend – for example, how to nurture it; how its developing in retail, where researchers see it going; how marketeers see it evolving on social media; and so forth – so snack manufacturers can position themselves at the helm of it,” said Emig.
Speakers include:
- Steven van Belleghem, international keynote speaker, author, entrepreneur and, as Emig calls him, “the go-to guy about snackification.”
- Manfredi Minutelli, European Food and Beverages category leader for Alibaba, who will dig into online retail.
- David Jago, director of Innovation and Insight, who will root through today’s global trends and innovation, and give a “very important” insight into Generation Z and foods.
