The Middle East food industry is experiencing considerable growth at the moment,” said Mukul Shukla, GM, tna Middle East.

With more and more pro-business reforms, rapidly modernizing infrastructure and an advanced information communication and technology (ICT) environment, the UAE has managed to position itself as the most competitive and easiest place to do business regionally, with a rank of 26 out of 190 nations in 2017, according to Euromonitor International.

'To maintain its overall competitiveness, the government plans on investing considerably in infrastructure. According to trade sources, in 2016, Expo 2020 Dubai awarded over 1,200 contracts, costing more than AED2.0bn ($545m) and in January 2017, it proposed to launch 47 construction contracts worth AED11.0bn ($3.0bn),'  wrote Roshni Wani Thapa, Euromonitor report author of ‘World Expo 2020 will Strengthen the UAE’s Regional Superiority in Competitiveness’.

'The World Expo 2020 will not only provide a massive boost to the country’s infrastructural sector but also the hospitality and tourism businesses, as it is expected to attract more than 25 million visitors between October 2020 and April 2021.

'Nonetheless, the government needs to do more to enhance female participation in the workforce to maintain the country’s long term superiority over competitiveness regionally.'

Training sessions

Across the region, local and international companies are looking for manufacturing equipment that improves productivity, ensures product quality and meets local consumer demands to tap into the opportunities the Middle East food industry is offering," said Shukla.

He added tna Middle East has grown tenfold since it started operating in the region in 2006 - both in terms of sales and staff.

At double the size than the previous office, the facility has more room for tna’s expanding team, and can stock more spare parts locally.

Thanks to the demo room, customers can attend dedicated training sessions.

tna’s demo and training area offers our customers a training experience that goes beyond standard operating instructions by giving them insights into the functions of tna’s equipment in a live operational environment,” added Shukla.
