Warehime family-owned MAW Acquisitions LP has acquired G&S Foods/Tastysnack Quality Foods from Steve Garvick and Dale Spahr.

G&S is a co-packer and private-label company, producing a wide range of salty snacks and enrobed products. It acquired Tastysnack Quality Foods in 1999 to expand its enrobing capabilities.

The deal was concluded with the assistance of SC&H Capital for an undisclosed sum.

Earlier this year, the Warehime’s sold Snyder’s-Lance to Campbell Soup.

However, Tricia Warehime, MAW Acquisitions LP’s chairman, said her family wanted to put their knowledge of the snack industry back to work again.

She said: “We’ve known Steve and Dale personally and professionally for years and are looking forward to sharing our experience and networks to build, enhance and further expand this solid, well-managed company while ensuring quality, customer service and efficiency remain the hallmarks.”

Warehime noted there would be no changes within the existing G&S Foods’ executive team upon the acquisition.

However, she will add a board of managers for the Pennsylvania-based company, including Tom Dempsey, the former president at Utz Quality Foods; Ed Good, former CFO of Snyder’s of Hanover; Peter Michaud, former divisional president of Snyder’s-Lance; and Dan Morgan, former chief sales officer at Snyder’s-Lance.
