tna has opened a 3,600m² manufacturing facility and expanded Food Technology Testing Centre (FTTC) in the Netherlands, for the potato and vegetable processing industries.

tna Netherlands Manufacturing (formerly Florigo Industry), in Woerden, will include fryers and freezers, peelers, washers and dryers and a product demonstration area.

Operational factory setting

Nadia Taylor, co-founder, tna, said the FTTC is double the size and includes other tna technology to showcase in an operational factory setting.

The site is three times bigger than the previous Florigo factory, which strengthens our capabilities and ensures we have capacity to further expand our operations in the future,” she said.

She said it will be the first place where it gets to show its entire range of start-to-finish equipment.

tna acquired Florigo in 2015, and has since increased the local workforce by 80%.

End-of-Line technology

Equipment includes: processing, cooling, coating, distribution, seasoning, weighing, packaging, inserting and labelling, metal detection, verification and end-of-line technology.

The Netherlands has always played an important role in the global potato processing industry,” added Alf Taylor, CEO, tna.

The Dutch are not only amongst the top 10 potato producers in the world, but also achieve the highest average yield rates per square meter. We’re proud to be part of such an important sector.”
