Salty Dog expands popcorn brand with two product launches

Salty Dog has expanded its popcorn range with two product launches; sea salt and sweet & salty.

The vegan friendly product follows the launch of Darling Corn and comes in an eye-catching design for retail outlets, vending machines, on-trade and food-to-go venues.

Salty Dog was launched in 2003 by husband and wife Judy and Dave Willis followed by Darling Spuds in 2010 hand-cooked crisps and roasted corn kernels.

The appetite for tasty premium snacks remains high,” said Judy.

Popcorn is one of the grocery sector’s fastest growing product and the popcorn market is said to have doubled in value since 2013.”

Darling Corn roasted corn kernels are available in three flavors in 18g packs; sea salt, smoked and barbecue and three flavors in 40g packs; sea salt, barbecue and jalapeno.

Recommended retail price for the new popcorn is £1 per pack and for the corn is £1 for the 40g packs and 50p for the 18g packs.

Both ranges are available from Chiltern Snacks.
