Based in Woerden, the Netherlands, Pfaff will work with tna’s engineers and global sales team for the company’s processing portfolio, including FOODesign and Florigo pre-processing and frying equipment.
Haas-Mondomi
Pfaff formerly worked for Florigo, Kiremko and bakery and confectionery equipment manufacturer Haas-Mondomi.
As part of his role, he will be managing new product development processes, training tna’s global sales team and supporting tna’s customers with his technical know-how.
“There is immense potential for further growth across the entire snacks industry. One of the main drivers behind this growth is the increasing demand for high quality snacks. In particular in the UK, where quality-seeking consumers have become a major force in the savory snacks category,” he said.
“To meet this demand, snack manufacturers need equipment that can deliver a consistently fried product, while also looking after their bottom line to mitigate the higher costs of the premium ingredients that are often required to create these types of snacks.”
Batch-fryers, steam peeling
Peter Oussoren, chief sales officer, tna, said Pfaff will be instrumental in finding the right technology for its customers from ultra-high capacity batch-fryers, to steam peeling technology and vacuum frying equipment.
“The processing side of our business has grown exponentially over the last few years,” added Oussoren.
“There is particularly high demand for our frying technology as manufacturers are starting to see the long-term benefits this type of equipment can have on their overall profitability levels.”
