The enticement of Cadbury’s
Phil Carrat, strategic partnerships director, Europe at CSM Bakery Solutions, told BakeryandSnacks the inclusion of the popular brand of chocolate “will boost the sector and increase the number of customers buying into it.
“Cadbury is one of Britain’s best loved brands and is worth over £1.2bn ($1.47bn) in the UK alone.
“The fact that Cadbury is so popular is set to drive sales, and increase the value of the sector. Over 80% of the UK population bought into the brand in the last 12 months and this will reflect in sales of the new range,” he said.
The Cadbury doughnuts and muffins, which are being manufactured in CSM’s facility in Wirral, UK (which celebrated it centenary last year), will be available from April through wholesalers.
