180 Degrees is an Auckland company producing baked biscuits, snacks and crackers.
The firm said growth led to an investment programme to expand production capacity and improve plant efficiency.
It selected a Sesotec Varicon+ metal detector supplied by Reynolds Group, featuring a C-SCAN GHF multi-frequency detector tunnel.
The Varicon+D series is for dry areas, the Varicon+W series for wetter environments and has a load capacity of 50kg.
It detects all metal contaminants (ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel).
Nigel Cranston, company director said: “We have worked with Reynolds Group for our coding requirements for many years, and knowing that our new quality control systems are supported by such a great partner is reassuring.”
Sesotec has subsidiaries in Great Britain, France, Italy, China, Singapore, India, Canada, and in the USA, a representative office in Turkey, and more than 40 agencies globally.
The Sesotec group has 500 employees, about 400 are working at the main factory in Schönberg.
