Customers include Starbucks, Synergy, Dairy Crest, Cadbury, Proctor & Gamble, Horlicks, Boots and Fison Pharmacuetical.

Rob Trigg, director of international sales, European Spraydry Technologies, told FoodProductionDaily, to win the award it had to show continual growth over a three year period, and typically over the past few years it has generated around 80% of our business from the export market.

He added the firm is currently looking to expand its team to support its business growth both domestically and globally.

The award reflects highly on the company in terms of technical ability and commercial awareness which will encourage new business,” he said.

Our systems offer the highest levels of quality whilst demonstrating a significant capital investment saving when compared to our major Western European competitors.

We are continually striving to further improve quality and streamline our manufacturing procedures to ensure that this remains a key USP.

CIS and Far Eastern dairy & food powder production markets

The main challenge for us is the emergence and growth of the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) and Far Eastern dairy and food powder production markets over the last few years and the increased demand for high quality spray drying equipment in these locations.

We are developing a focused and ever growing network of partner agents to introduce and support our business and equipment in these regions.

We believe locally based process engineering equipment manufacturers and solution providers are the key to tapping in to this lucrative and exciting market.”

The biggest trends we foresee in the next five years are a growing demand for spray drying systems manufactured to the very highest quality which will support powder production from any world location that is suitable for sale to all world markets,” added Trigg.

We believe this will be beneficial to our business growth and development as it forms a fundamental part of any system supplied by ESDT.

Quality always comes first and every ESDT spray drying plant not only meets but exceeds current legislation.”
