The record was achieved by using Riggs Autopack Series 1 micro-fill depositor supplied by South Africa agent, John Pelucci of NPS (National Packaging Systems).
NPS was established in 1983 as a manufacturer of vertical form, fill & seal machines, volumetric depositors, auger fillers, feeding systems and conveyors for the food and beverage industry.
It has had a long standing relationship with Riggs Autopack installing its machinery into the South African food production industry.
All the cupcakes that were used in the world record attempt were donated to various charities and all the money raised (R164 750.00) went to Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer.
