KM Packaging film protects ready-meals
KM Packaging Services has extended its KPeel range of lidding films, which it claims prevent breakage and seal failure, reducing food waste and spoilage.

KPeel WF1N, is a strong, impact resistant lidding film, 29 or 43 microns thick and dual ovenable.

Graham Holding, commercial director, KM Packaging, said many catering companies are still specifying cardboard lids in conjunction with a wrinkle wall foil tray for ready meals but KM’s latest product is more functional and supports varied meals, without the risk of consumer “wrap rage”.

KPeel WF1N is based on a completely new material specification, further extending KM’s range of films for sealing to Cpet and smooth wall aluminium foil trays,” he siad.

We developed a film that could seal through contamination, and be totally clean peelable either direct from the freezer or the oven.

We’re confident this latest product will appeal not just to food processors who are judged on the performance of their whole provision, but to manufacturers and caterers looking to gain an edge over their competitors by providing a broader choice of meals in superior, consumer-friendly packaging.”

As well as ensuring a cold peel without sharding, the film facilitates a stress-free hot peel, as well as for catering size packs and family portioned meals.
