Condoleezza Rice to speak at Dematic Material Handling & Logistics Conference

Condoleezza Rice, who served as the 66th Secretary of State of the United States, will be the keynote speaker at Dematic’s 30th Annual Material Handling & Logistics Conference (September 13–16) in Utah.

Rice was the second woman and the first African American woman to hold the post.

National Security Affairs

She also served as President George W. Bush's assistant to the President for National Security Affairs from 2001-2005, the first woman to hold the position.

"Rice is a role model for all of us. She paved the way for women in a very male-dominated arena, was the world's most powerful diplomat and today uses her exceptional pedigree, tenacity and experiences to help shape the future of our country," said John Baysore, CEO, Dematic North America, a global supplier of logistics systems for the factory, warehouse and distribution centers.

"At Dematic, we continue to develop, design and deliver technology that will drive the future supply chain. Each year, the conference brings together industry professionals to learn more about supply chain trends, strategies, thought leadership and best practices.
