Norbert Dentressangle has been named as Nestlé’s best locally managed supplier at the manufacturer’s inaugural supplier awards.

The company, whose HQ is in Lyon, France, manages the warehousing operation at Nestlé Waters’ facility at Buxton, UK, and beat off tough competition from other Nestlé suppliers to pick up the trophy.

It helped Nestlé continue operations while undergoing the installation of a further 5,000 pallet spaces of racking this year and due to its management, brought the cost per pallet moved well under budget.

Without the commitment and dedication shown by the Norbert Dentressangle team Nestlé would have struggled to achieve the success we have seen this year,” said Frazer Crawley, distribution manager, Nestlé Waters.

Using a local distribution network to provide the labour for our warehouse site has made it a lot easier to flex our resources in an agile way to meet the sudden fluctuations in demand that we see in the waters business. “
