The in-house machinery event called imPACKED (October 13-17) took place at the firm’s headquarters in Padova, Italy and saw live demonstrations of packaging machinery.

The show coincided with news Hayssen Flexible Systems has acquired Schib Packaging where it had a stand at imPACKED.
Schib produces horizontal flow-wrapping machines, automatic feeders and wrapping systems for sectors including candy, biscuits and bakery..
The deal will expand Hayssen Flexible Systems horizontal wrapper technology.

Speaking about the idea behind imPACKED 2014, Larry Norpoth, sales director, Simionato, said tradeshows are rushed and impersonal and it wants to understand its customers on a personal level.

Guests got to see the latest in VFFS (vertical form fill seal) packaging machines, including Simionato’s Logic system with infeed conveyor, multihead weigher, gantry, VFFS bag maker and outfeed conveyor.
Rose Forgrove flow wrapper models and Novus continuous motion with doy/quad capabilities were also on display.
