The company opened a new technical centre at the High Wycombe site in March, featuring flavour creation laboratories, a sensory facility, and an expanded research and analytical suite. In addition, the company said new drying technology would be commissioned in December for flavour encapsulation in nutritional and bakery applications, and extra manufacturing capacity would be added in the months ahead.
By autumn next year, Synergy said it intends to transfer all operations from Corby to the High Wycombe site.
“The company is in consultation with the staff in Corby and is working with them to minimise the effects wherever possible, providing them with alternative opportunities, and outplacement support,” it said.
Managing director Steve Morgan said: “We have committed to a programme of investment that is accelerating growth through innovation and the provision of best local service for our customers. The new expanded High Wycombe site will provide an ever faster, more efficient service and create high value products in one location, as the output of one integrated team.”
