Fire crews were called to the facility, which is a subsidiary of Silgan Holdings at about midday.
The factory makes caps for jars and bottles including easy-to-open, easy-to-reseal and tamper-evident closures, for all types of containers, glass, plastic and metal.
According to reports, witnesses saw flames coming from the roof and black smoke coming out of the air vents.
Employees were reportedly allowed back into the building at around 3pm and there were no reported injuries but one fire fighter was taken to hospital for heat exhaustion.
The cause of the blaze is unknown.
Silgan White Cap operates 14 factories worldwide employing more than 2,000 employees.
