Romaco Group sells FrymaKoruma

10-year partnership
Olaf Pehmöller, CEO of Stephan Machinery will now act as CEO for the ProXES Group.
“We are very pleased we can now realise previously unknown possibilities within our core business with the help of ProXES and its clear focus on process technology,” he said.
“FrymaKoruma and Stephan Machinery complement each other to the benefit of both companies. For our customers, we are developing a process technology group consistent with an enterprise size which can offer more attractive proposals and better quality.”
Paulo Alexandre, CEO, the Romaco Group said thanks to its 10-year affiliation, FrymaKoruma developed very well and it is pleased to give the company a ‘growth spurt’ in a group that specialises in process technology.
He added Romaco will now focus on its development in the pharmaceutical market.
The Romaco Group’s formal takeover of Kilian Tableting was completed on November 13, 2013. At the same time, Jörg Pieper, Gerd Hueffmann and Jens Carstens were appointed managing directors of Kilian.
Growth strategy
“With FrymaKoruma and Stephan Machinery, we have two companies which are active on the market with strong brands and an excellent reputation,” added Dr. Rolf Scheffels, board member, DBAG.
“Combining the respective excellences is the logical consequence of our growth strategy which we will now implement in a focused way.”
Romaco Group is a supplier of processing and packaging technology. It is subdivided into tableting and packaging and develops products for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and chemical industry.
The branch offices of the packaging product lines Noack, Siebler, Bosspak, Macofar, Promatic and Unipac are in Karlsruhe (Germany) and Bologna (Italy).
Interpack
The company will exhibit its flexible primary and secondary packaging from Noack, Promatic and Macofar at Interpack in Dusseldorf, Germany, from May 8-14 Hall 16, Stand D15.
It also plans to host a Romaco Kilian event, in Cologne, Germany on May 8 with guest speaker Jutta Kleinschmidt, racing driver and winner of the Dakar Rally.
Presentations include; Paulo Alexandre, CEO Romaco Group, on ‘Exploiting technologies and going beyond – a new strategic approach for Romaco as a long-term partner of the pharmaceutical industry’ and Philippe Cappuyns, Global Technical Services, Janssen Supply Chain, Unit of Janssen Pharmaceutica NV, Johnson & Johnson, on ‘The latest trends in the pharmaceutical industry’.
