Simulation in packaging event is real!

A symposium about ‘Simulation in Packaging Development’ will be held by the IPI International Packaging Institute in June.

The symposium in Switzerland will explore applications which simulation can help with – from the production of packaging materials to different steps in the packaging process, quality assurance and packing lines – and will be presented.

It is aimed at R&D specialists in the packaging sector, packing companies, equipment designers and manufacturers who need to understand the options available to use simulation in the design and improvement of processes.

Simulation is being used increasingly in process design and optimization said the organisers of the event in Stein am Rhein on June 11 and 12.

The complexity of the industry means that factors cannot be tested efficiently by trial and error, which is where modern simulation technology comes in, said IPI.
