Taghleef invests in Hungary to boost 5-layer capacity

Taghleef Industries (Ti) has upgraded a production line in Hungary that will start up at the beginning of June to boost its 5-layer capacity in Europe.

Investments were made at Ti Kft in Hungary to upgrade a 8.2 mt bi-orientated polypropylene (BoPP) line to 5-layers that will increase Ti Europe’s current film capacity to 60,000 tonnes per year (t/y).

The line will be equipped with technologies to ensure film quality and the firm predicted energy savings in the range of 25%.

Taghleef said that with this new capacity it will reinforce its market position to serve the label (specifically IML) and food packaging industries.

“Our continuous investment in advanced technology and manufacturing capabilities further demonstrate Ti commitment to support its growing European customer base and partners,” said Valerio Garzitto, CEO of Ti Europe.
