Food-grade conveyor belts
The FlatClean belts, from Gates Mectrol, now come in 48in. widths, in 2mm and 3mm thicknesses. All of the belts are built with easy-to-clean urethane. Additionally, they are designed with sealed Kevlar tension cords to eliminate stretch.
According to the company, the 2mm belt is the first dual-durometer food grade belt on the market. The different coefficients of friction reportedly provide better abrasion resistance and more grab, allowing for a smaller pulley diameter and better handoffs between conveyors than similar products.
