The organization is providing the PMMI Possibilities in Packaging Innovation at FMI Connect 2014, scheduled June 10-13. The specialized show area will offer attendees a chance to view emerging technologies and design ideas for food, beverage and other sectors.
Private-label products are increasing market share in food, beverage and other categories. In the US alone, consumers purchase approximately $108bn worth of private-label items each year.
According to Charles D. Yuska, president and CEO of PMMI, the pavilion is intended to provide food firms and packaging partners a chance to connect.
“We’re going to present the latest industry research, design, machinery and implementation ideas, and showcase solutions for the future of packaging in retail,” Yuska adds.
Topics presented in the pavilion include intelligent packaging, sustainability, shelf-life extention and more.
FMI Connect is an annual conference and expo presented by the Food Marketing Institute. This year’s revamped program is scheduled June 10-13 in Chicago.
