Hope Fresh's QFP-350L 600 machine is the first system to come off the line at the company’s new manufacturing center in Ohio. Hope Fresh had started production with an Avure 100L at its 58,000-sq-ft. tolling operation in May.
Robbie Rech, president of Colorado-based Hope Fresh’s parent firm Hope Foods, said the new HPP equipment will boost the facility’s capacity, and provide “the assurance of redundancy that makes food processors more comfortable.” The company specializes in high-pressure processing of hummus, fruits and other fresh products.
Matt Rutherford, Avure’s senior vice president of business development and global sales, said the Ohio facility will enable the company to better serve the rapidly growing demand for HPP in the US food processing industry. The facility will produce a range of machines, including the high-volume 525L-600 machine, which reportedly offers a low operating cost.
Additionally, the Ohio facility will host the company’s HPP Services Team and distribute spare parts for the Americas.
