World’s first French fries vending machine

Beyondte Technology has created a French fries vending machine in Shenzhen, China.

The million dollar technology has been under construction for five years and cooks the fries using vegetable oil and beef fat. It comes with a choice of three sauces.

The machine was tested in Brussels and Belgium, in August this year, by a distributor of Beyondte and it has received orders from customers in Croatia, Iran and Chile.

Richard Jiang, sales manager, Beyondte, said companies have been trying to develop a product like this for the last 10 years because French fries are popular with people from all around the world.

Beyondte Electronics specializes in R&D and the manufacturing of computer metal peripherals and self-help equipment but the French fries vending machine is our main product now,” he said.

Unlike drink vending machines which have to display the various bottles and cans for sale, the french fries vending machine can use the front panel for advertising.

Our FFVM2 (French Fries Vending Machine 2) has a big light box for advertising, which could fetch up to $800 revenue a month, and can easily be seen in a crowded place.

Subway stations and streets

The product will stand out in places like a subway station or side street (kerb appeal) because it is a unique concept which is different to anything else on the market.”

Jiang said the merchandise takes 95 seconds from when the consumer puts their coins into the machine to receive a box of fries through a slot at the bottom.

He added during trials in Belgium, customers bought a 135g portion of fries cooked in beef fat from the machine for €2.5 EUROS. The machine can also serve 150g portions.

All the products are RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and CE (European Conformity) certified.

Our technology includes a kiosk keyboard, a french fries vending machine, and other self-service equipment. We have a batch of technicians on hand and now our product is gaining a good reputation with widespread recognition,” said Jiang.
