The company belongs to Majid Plastics Group, which has an annual turnover of $136m, and is now looking to expand across the Middle East and Africa.
Abdul Jabbar, managing director, Hotpack Packaging Industries, said it wants to become the Number One producer of disposable food packaging and related products in the continent.

"The facility, certified by ISO and ESMA, will be manufacturing several varieties of plastic, paper and aluminum products to cater to the food service industry, while complying with global standards of quality and hygiene as well as abiding by the recommendations for sustainable practice," he said.
Majid Plastics Group is a manufacturer and wholesale distributor of disposable food packaging, serving and related to products in the region.
It operates four factories in the UAE and one in India, with 15 distribution centers across the GCC.
High turnover
The Hotpack facility will cover 350,000 sq ft located in Dubai Investments Park amid claims it will be the biggest single facility in the UAE for food packaging dealing with more than 1,700 products.
Jabbar said Hotpack is expecting more business and higher turnover in the coming years.
"The decision to integrate the production and logistics infrastructure comes as part of our efforts to meet demand for our products in the food service support segment.”
He said the company plans to open branches in Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a factory and logistics center in Abu Dhabi and Qatar.
