PROCESS EXPO has added a future-looking session to its packaging education track.
The PROCESS EXPO University education program has bolstered its packaging track with a futuristic session, taking a look at what trends and innovations are on the horizon.

“Packaging in the New Millennium” will be held on the PROCESS EXPO show floor on Monday, November 4 and Tuesday, November 5. Each session will feature panels composed of top processing companies, sharing their views on what trends stand to impact the industry in the coming months and years.

Packaging goes hand-in-hand with our processing technologies," said Jeff Dahl, chairman of FPSA and business manager at JBT FoodTech. “While our expertise might be in processing, our customers expect us to help them on the packaging side also. They look to the supplier community for answers on issues such as packaging material interaction and alternative packaging options for their product, to name a few.”

Other sessions in the PROCESS EXPO University packaging track will feature speakers from Michigan State University, Ohio State University and other reputed institutions and companies. Topics such as bio-based materials in food packaging, avoiding counterfeiting, active packaging and labelling will be covered.

PROCESS EXPO 2013 is scheduled November 3-6 in Chicago, collocated with the International Dairy Show and the North American Meat Association's Outlook Conference. To learn more about the PROCESS EXPO University educational program, the conferences or to register, visit the show page here.
