The event will target machinery, equipment and processing supplies as well as food producers and processors representing the complete process chain.
Werner Dornscheldt, president, Messe Düsseldorf, said the expo will kick off every day with keynote speeches by experts that provide practical information on setting up a business or entering into partnerships in Kenya and East Africa.
40% food loss
The company will also present results of a current on-going study on the extent of and reasons for losses of maize, fish, banana and dairy products in Kenya.
“We suffer up to 40% of food losses because of poor infrastructure and lack of processing and packaging technologies, so the expo will bring those technologies here to educate our manufacturers on what technologies to use,” said Moses Ikiara, MD, Kenya Investment Authority.
“Local investors will also have an opportunity to meet potential partners and may start joint ventures to start up enterprises,” he added.
The expo will be held in Kenya from November 26-28, this year.
