Pactiv creates 77 jobs in $9m factory expansion
Pactiv will create 77 jobs after spending $9m opening a factory in Lenoir and Iredell, North Carolina.
The Illinois-based food packaging manufacturer made the announcement via the North Carolina Government and the company will be eligible for a performance-based grant of up to $103,000 based on job creation from the One North Carolina Fund.
John McGrath, president, Pactiv, said he was excited about the expansion and was committed to meeting the needs of the local community and available workforce although there was no indication of the breakdown of jobs and investment at each facility.
Pactiv operates 55 manufacturing plants in seven countries with more than 12,000 employees. It makes food packaging for home use, food service, food processors, supermarkets and convenience stores.
