Washer promises lean, clean processing machines
The pressure washer helps food firms blast away foodborne bacteria using high-temperature water. According to Matthew Baratta of MA-based Daimer Industries, the machine helps eradicate the foodborne bacteria that can lead to harmful, costly contamination.
“The most important goal of a food production facility is the prevention of bacteria that can lead to food recalls, sickness, and even death,” he said. “The Vapor-Flo 8410 offer dramatically superior cleaning power in a very easy-to-use portable machine that can be easily transported throughout a building.”
Baratta added that the machine’s electric-powered design eliminates exhaust, which makes it safe for indoor operations.
Hot stuff
The machine outputs water up to 205 degrees F (96 degrees C), higher than the 180 degrees F (82 degrees C) required for disinfection. The high temperatures also blast away grease and oil deposits, according to the company.
The Vapor-Flow 8410 outputs water at 1,880 psi and a flow rate of 0.6 gpm. Other features include automatic shutoff, upstream siphon chemical injection, and a range of power configurations options.
Additionally, the systems feature a modular design and other features intended to make maintenance easy. The unit ships with a trigger wand with quick disconnect, stainless-steel pressure nozzle, and high-pressure, double-layered hose; other hoses and lengths are available.
