According to Tom Hoffman director of sales and international markets for Mepaco, food processing demands increasingly are looking for lifts that can fulfill a need for clean operation and powerful operation.
“There is a real demand with this level of sanitary design for ergonomic lifts, especially in the capacity range up to 4000 lbs.,” he said.
Choice of capacity
The company offers two models: The EZ4000 product/pallet lift is made of stainless steel with a pickle-passivated (corrosion resistant) finish. It handles loads to 4,000 lbs., and it raises to any level up to 36 in. (91 cm). The lift includes a self-contained power unit with up/down hand controls and an optional turn table.
The EZL2500 product/pallet lift, which also is made of stainless steel and pickle passivated, has a capacity of 2,500 lbs. Height-adjustable up to 37 in. (94 cm), it features a low-profile deck for floor level loading. A hydraulic power unit is included with safety up-down foot pedal control.
Standard and custom options
Both of the Mepaco lifts reportedly perform well in extreme sanitation conditions and are built to meet USDA requirements. Both the EZ4000 and EZL2500 are stock units and available for immediate delivery; portable and rotary top units and other custom built lifts are also available.
The company reports that, like its other equipment, the lifts are able to be cleaned to a microbiological level, easily accessible for inspection and maintenance and validated for industry cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
