The hot-air dryer, which attaches to hand-washing sinks, enables factory floor personnel to dry their hands quickly and without the use of paper. An infrared sensor allows for contact-free activation from a distance of up to 30 cm.
Fast drying
With its compact design and durable motor, the Turbo-Trock reportedly is able to dry hands in less than 15 seconds without taking up valuable shop space. Additionally, the dryer has a stainless-steel exterior geared toward easy cleaning, automatic shut off, and thermal fuse to deter overheating.
Carometec Inc. representative Jeb Supple told FoodProductionDaily.com that the Turbo-Trock offers environmental and efficiency benefits.
“The new Turbo-Trock truly enhances any processing plant’s efficiency, while also eliminating the need for paper towel products,” he said. “Because it attaches to stainless-steel sinks, it is accessible to workers where and when it needs to be.”
Avoiding bacterial growth
In addition to improving a firm’s environmental profile by eliminating the waste of paper towels, the Turbo-Trock provides immediate access to drying, cutting the possibility of excess water gathering in sanitation areas and leading to bacterial growth.
Supple also pointed out that by preventing contamination, regulatory incidences and recalls, the Turbo-Trock might help contribute to overall employee morale and productivity. It can prevent food contamination as well as the spread of germs that cause illness, reducing staff shortages and downtime.
Further, Supple added that automated sanitation products, with hands-free operation, are important in preventing cross-contamination by food manucaturing staff.
