Michael Green, TNA managing director, tells Rod Addy in this exclusive interview how the vertical form-fill-seal Robag FXIS 3ci takes the firm into fresh produce, frozen food and new areas of confectionery bagging.
Green describes the bagger as "the world's first rotary double flat jaw polyethylene advanced impulse seal" machine. The unique design enables it to deliver continuous polyethylene sealing at a rate of 150 bags a minute. Green says the device "takes polyethylene sealing to a whole new level".
TNA says the machine features product-in-seal-detection software, which alerts the user to sealing issues before bags enter the packaging area. It also claims it enables quick product settling in bags because of the inclusion of a film shaker.
In addition, the bagger incorporates the latest environmentally-friendly design specifications, is purposely built to occupy minimal space on the production floor. It can tackle bag widths of between 55mm and 320mm and lengths from 50mm.
