Accraply expands shrink sleeve portfolio

US-based Accraply has acquired Turpins Packaging Group to expand their line of shrink sleeve labelling equipment for the food and beverage market.

The buyout of the UK-based firm covers the Sleevit product line, which includes a range of standard and custom-configured sleeving systems.

The subsidiary of Barry-Wehmiller Companies, said the acquisition strengthens the firms commitment to the industry and expands their footprint in Europe.

Rob Leonard, president of Accraply, said: “The addition of Turpins and the Sleevit brand within the family of Accraply, Graham, Trine and Stanford brands complements our position as a global provider of a complete range of labeling and converting equipment, backed by an extensive service and parts support network.”

Turpins Packaging Group co-owner Edward Woods said: “Shrink sleeves can be applied to many different types of containers and products.

“Our customers come from a wide range of market sectors including food and drink, cosmetic, personal care and pharmaceuticals, as well as many other consumer and industrial product sectors.”
