The WPL 9000 Series of AEW Delford Weigh Price Labellers incorporate a range of features that make them easier to operate, claims the company. Those include: Easy label editing, new touch screen control, full access to all system functions while running, multi-lingual operation and system logging.
Marel’s Tony Ambrose told FoodProductionDaily.com that: “Editing the labels is much easer with the new models thanks to their touch computer screens and drag-and-drop editing facility. Labels can be positioned with a high degree of accuracy.”
Training time
Making the equipment easier to operate also reduces operator training time.
Access to systems functions during operation means that new labels can be set up without stopping the production run, said Ambrose. “With other weigh price labelers, the line has to be stopped for 10 minutes while another label is set up. That delay is avoided with this new series.”
The new weigh price labellers has a wide range of foods and beverage applications encompassing the large protein industry and fresh fruit and vegetable produce.
Modified design of the new weigh price labelers reduces significantly the time between order and delivery because of commonality of parts with previous equipment, said the company.
Automatic production lines
The Weigh Price Labellers can operate as stand alone machines or be integrated with a range of manual or automatic production lines using the company’s Innova software.
The WPL 9000 Series of AEW Delford Weigh Price Labellers are available throughout the world. They are fully approved in EU countries and approvals are pending in some other countries.
Each unit costs about ₤25,000 depending on specification.
