A new vacuum packaging machine is designed to cope with a wide
range of different products, its manufacturer claims.

Koch Equipments claims its 800 double chamber vacuum packaging machine is designed for meat, poultry and seafood. Produce, dairy as well as pharmaceuticals can be sealed using the equipment. Its versatility provides multi-product processors with the option of having a one machine for all their packaging needs, instead of having to buy separate ones to do the job. Vacuum packaging removes air from packaged foods, extending the shelf life and protecting the sealed goods. The machine is made from stainless steel, capable of withstanding the harsh washdowns required in food processing and packaging plants. Steve Kingeter, vice president of sales and marketing at Koch said the machine provides a high-quality, economical vacuum packaging solution to customers with mid-range production requirements. "The Koch 800 vacuum packaging machine is designed with several quality standard features, providing customers everything they need without paying extra for options, such as 10mm wide-band seals, a 10-hp vacuum pump and stainless steel construction," he said. Easy access panel doors allow for easier maintenance, while protecting the operating machinery and operators, the manufacturer claims. Prior to installation the Koch 800 double chamber vacuum packaging machine is assembled at Koch Equipment's headquarters in Missouri. Koch Equipment, headquartered in Kansas City, manufacturers and distributes equipment for food production, food processing, packaging, and labeling.
