TNA launches triple jaw bagging system

Equipment manufacturer TNA has launched a triple jaw version of its groundbreaking Rotary Jaw bagging system. TNA claims that the system can achieve speeds in excess of 220 bags per minute (bpm), which is faster than any other bagger on the market.

In addition, the company claims that the product is more efficient, with wastage rates of under one per cent. The system is also more flexible, offering customers a wide range of bag widths.

The Triple Jaw version of the ROBAG 3 was recently exhibited at Pack Expo International, Chicago. TNA North America was able to pack 102mm wide bags of candy and snacks, at speeds in excess of 200 bpm.

TNA already has a Rotary Double Jaw version of the ROBAG 3, which is currently packing bags of Mini Pretzels at speeds exceeding 180 bpm in a Pennsylvanian production facility, achieving low wastage rates.

Also on show was TNA's new Gateless Roflo distribution system. This product discharge system is designed to eliminate product breakage, maintenance, breakdown and cleaning. In addition, the system ensure that products are not shaken, rattled or bounced whilst in transport it across the factory.

Roflo is also fully servo driven, enabling smooth, accurate control over the products being distributed to the packaging systems - product flow can even be reversed.

TNA plans to expand its global presence further in order to strengthen its position in regions where it already has a customer base as well as break into new markets. Patrick Avelange, Regional Manager for the Middle East has recently relocated from the TNA Europe office to Dubai to become TNA's local representative in the Middle East.

Brazil is the next target to establishing a physical presence to further strengthen its hold of the Latin American market.
