Packaging firm Ileos has added a new product to its range of Flexpaq sampling sachets. The Swift Open Sachet, as it is called, has been designed with a new opening system to allow consumers to open up a product without finding themselves drenched in ketchup or some other foodstuff.
The new product is available in either clear or foil-based materials, and complements the firm's popular E-Z Open Sachet. This opening feature was designed for sachets to work well even in wet environments.
The firm has also enhanced its bottle-filling and tube-filling capabilities with an automatic filling system that uses sanitary gear pumps, a variable speed drive train, individual clutch brakes, and computerised controls.
The capper utilises a star-wheel indexing system and tightening chucks monitored by a digital torque meter, and is fed by a vibratory bowl. An automatic labelling system offers front and back, and/or wraparound, labeling options.
In addition, the company's recently enhanced tube filling capability now allows it to fill all of types of laminate and/or plastic tubes in a variety of diameters.
