Biotrace International has launched a new luminometer for hygiene monitoring, the Uni-Lite NG, which is said to provide a highly portable means of rapid hygiene monitor tests.
Weighing around 400g, the instrument is aimed at a range of sectors including food and beverage manufacturing, water treatment and paper and pulp establishments. The instrument has been designed with the needs of the future in mind and, claims Biotrace, is one of the lightest luminometers in the world.
The software can be upgraded remotely allowing future features to be added without the need to return the instrument, and an internal calibration self-check device assures users that the instrument is still correctly calibrated.
The luminometer is PC compatible and is supplied with Biotrack+, the company's multilingual data trending software. Biotrack+ enables users to control hygiene management - from creating sample plans and setting pass/fail levels, to using the data for powerful management reports.
The Uni-Lite NG also offers a re-test facility which allows users to retest a failed test point as many times as required, allowing all results to be recorded easily.
The accessory list includes a docking station which connects to a PC and battery charging facilities - removing the need to connect and reconnect leads each time the instrument is used.
Colin Hunt, senior product manager at Biotrace International explained: "Our research has enabled us to pinpoint key features customers require and we are confident we meet these needs in our next generation luminometer."
