The unit is completely waterproof (IP67 compliant) and can be washed and sanitised for applications in multiple food industry applications. It even operates under water, DeltaTrak claims, functioning in either a normal or a continuous reading mode.

The thermometer also has alarm points that can be set for high and low temperature limits and a memory function that holds up to 99 points of temperature data. Advanced optical features include a 15:1 field of view, pin point laser sighting of an object as small as 66.7mm in size at 1 metre, and a temperature range of 0°C to 500°C.

Thermotrace is designed for instant, non-contact surface temperature measurement, and can be used to read temperatures of moving parts or to check surfaces in hard-to-reach places. The ThermoTrace Waterproof Infrared Thermometer is NIST traceable and carries the CE mark.
