Materials testing specialists, Lloyd Instruments,has passed its Transition Audit from ISO 9000:1994 to ISO 9001:2000, which gives the company TickITaccreditation for software excellence.

Materials testing specialists, Lloyd Instruments,has passed its Transition Audit from ISO 9000:1994 to ISO 9001:2000, which gives the company TickITaccreditation for software excellence.

The new process and procedures put into place to meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 are mutually beneficial to customers, suppliers and the company as a whole. The new Standard is based on eight quality management principles including: customer focus, involvement of people, systemsapproach to management, factual approach to decision making, leadership,process approach, continual improvement, and mutually beneficialsupplierrelationships.

Lloyd Instruments says that it has been particularly focused ontheconcepts of Customer Focus and Continual Improvement, qualities which it says took the company and its staff a long way towards achieving the new accreditation.

From analysing raw materials to finished products in manufacturing or research, Lloyd Instruments supplies a host of industries including plastics, composites, packaging, paper and food. The company has a worldwide distributor network for sales and service, including Asia and Far East regions. Its Material Test Business Unit is headquartered in Largo, Florida, with manufacturing facilities based in Fareham in the UK and USA.
