Leading manufacturer of digital case printing equipment Iconotech is to showcase its new Optimizer digital case printer at Pack Expo Las Vegas, which is being held 13 to 15 October 2003. The company believes that the product can handle the roughest demands of in-plant production and has wide applications for the food and drink packaging industry.
The printer is equipped with a heavy-duty shuttle feed system with a throughput of up to 60 cases per minute. With many operator-friendly features, the magazine easily adjusts to handle any size unerected box ranging from 10" x 12" to 36" x 39".
The computer generated printing stencil allows exacting placement of very high-resolution print anywhere within a 32"x 11" area. This is a rugged, long-lasting printer designed for ease of use as well as durability with far lower operating costs than using labels or buying pre-print. Message creation takes minutes with the same print quality you would expect from a box converter but without the expense of printing plates.
Iconotech has also launched its new bar code warranty programme. This programme is the first of its kind in the business of bar coding on corrugated shipping cases.
"Iconotech has always stood behind the print quality that our equipment produces," said Linda Bertelsen of Iconotech. "We are now guaranteeing our customers that their shipping cases will be printed with bar codes that will meet or exceed industry standards."
As more and more distributors are demanding bar code standards on suppliers shipping cases, the pressure is on for companies who do not comply. Steep fines are being given for illegible bar codes. With Iconotech's superior digital case printing equipment, the company can guarantee their customers' shipping containers will make it to the distributor destination with the most legible, readable bar codes.
Iconotech's digital technology ensures top quality bar codes even on irregular corrugated surfaces.
