The Conference Advisory Panel will review proposals and recommend sessions for inclusion in the final program, to be held during the show in Las Vegas, US, 13-15 October.

Packaging experts from the food and beverage sector will includeDavid Wiemann, group manager of packaging technology at E & J Gallo Winery; Alison Kent, director of World-Wide Packaging at Sargento Foods and Jeffrey D. Morgan, director, packaging research, Kraft Foods.

"All attendees to the Conference at Pack Expo will benefit from the market insights and vast experience of each of the advisory panel members," said Ben Miyares, vice president of industry relations at the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute and director of the Conference at Pack Expo. "The result will be extremely focused conference sessions that will offer the kind of marketing intelligence and business information that industry professionals value for their company and careers."

The conference will be held during the expo, which is said to be the largest packaging event in the world in 2003. Featuring more than 700 exhibiting companies spread over 130,000 square metres, the show aims to bring together more than 25,000 packaging professionals for three days of new product evaluations, education and networking opportunities.

The conference will feature four concurrent sessions with "tracks" devoted to Operations, Materials, Security/Safety, Machine Controls, Closures, Coding and Pharmaceutical Process Validation.
