A new multihead weigher for salads has been unveiled by Ishida Europe, which has been developed in co-operation with salad packers throughout Europe.
The new weigher features specially developed materials for contact parts, which aims to help reduce leaf sticking during handling. In addition, high amplitude feeders allow total control of the movement of all types ofSalad - Ishida claims.
Special dimpled stainless steel surfaces on the new multihead weighersminimise the contact area between the weigher and the product, easingmovement and facilitating a consistent product flow through the weigher. At the same time, high amplitude feeders are said to disperse awkward saladleaves easily and consistently.
The use of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM)technology allows the operator to control the feeder vibration toachieve the most powerful vibration pulse possible. This vibration isset up simply via the weigher's remote control unit and can beautomatically adjusted during production.
