On the second day of Anuga FoodTec, the aisles seem to be that bit busier than the first day and most exhibitors are reporting that they are surprised by the amount of visits to their stands, and indeed by the deals being signed.
Naturally all the biggest players from both the processing and packaging sectors are here, but at this event it appears that competitors are really trying to outdo each other, with a number of themed exhibitions presenting experiences that are definitely out of the ordinary.
Perhaps one of the most eye-catching and impactful is the Elopak stand. Here, the Norwegian manufacturer of liquid paper packaging products has combined a more human approach to the world of packaging, for which it has coined the phrase, 'The Elopak Body and Soul Experience'.
Elopak says that its theme is "all about celebrating and reinforcing partnership: a true and successful partnership between Elopak and its customers, and a pure and longer lasting partnership between package and product, between Body & Soul".
The exhibition itself included an audio and visual chamber in which people were subjected to a ten minute presentation, highlighting the company's aims to provide total packaging solutions for its customer needs.
In an industry where promotion is usually confined to less sophisticated mediums and means, the presentation and the image at Elopak certainly turns heads, serving as a useful platform to the new products and technologies that the company was previewing at the show.
